Training
Volunteers can receive training in the following areas:
- Sighted Guide – How to guide someone with a sight loss safely.
- Sight Awareness – Touching on some of the issues that can have an affect on people who experience loss of sight. Blowing away some of the myths that surround sight loss – Guide Dogs can’t tell the colour of traffic lights!
- Emergency 1st Aid
- MIDAS training for volunteer minibus drivers
- Receiving support and supervision
