Board Chairman and Finance Director
Fife Society for the Blind
Fife Society for the Blind has been working to support blind and partially sighted people in Fife since 1865. It has an excellent reputation for delivering innovative and unique services that meet the needs of those with a serious sight loss.
In accordance with its policy of rotation, the Board is looking for a Finance Director and a Chair to join the Board of Directors and to help lead the Society with effect from September 2008 and March 2009 respectively. The Board meets quarterly in the early evening, normally at the Sensory Impairment Centre in Kirkcaldy. In addition the Finance and General Purposes Committee meets between times and Directors are expected to commit time in between meetings to support the work of the Society. The maximum term of office for the Chairman is 3 years.
We are looking for commitment, knowledge, experience and leadership to ensure that the Society continues to meet the challenge of addressing serious sight loss in Fife.
